Presentation of the Golf Course
It is located about ten kilometers from Strasbourg, the headquarters of the Council of Europe and the European Parliament, whose city center is officially classified as a World Heritage Site by Unesco. The Golf de La Wantzenau is situated in a region bordered by forests, near the Rhine River.
The course was designed by Jeremy Pern, a renowned English architect, with the assistance of Jean Garaïalde, who is one of the top French professional golfers. The Golf de La Wantzenau offers a very varied 18-hole course, and water features are an integral part of it.
A training area, which is completely open to the public, consists of a compact 12-hole course, a covered driving range, a grass driving range, an area reserved for small games, and two putting greens. The Golf Course is set in 72 hectares of green terrain. The architecture of the clubhouse reflects its remarkable Alsatian heritage, and includes a restaurant and a pro-shop, in a warm and welcoming setting.
